Michael Irvin to join ‘Undisputed’ alongside Skip Bayless

With the recent departure of NFL Hall-of-Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe, the highly viewed talk show ‘Undisputed’ is looking for new on-air talent. Well, Skip Bayless is getting another NFL Hall-of-Famer by his side: Michael Irvin.

Irvin has spent his last few years playing the role of an analyst with ESPN and, most recently, NFL Network. Not only will Irvin join the infamous Skip Bayless, but former All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.

Fox Sports 1 executive vice president Charlie Dixon explained the addition of Irvin, Sherman and others alongside Skip Bayless.

“We focus more on the chemistry and the availability of agreeing with people versus trying to find inflection points where people have a variance of opinions,” Dixon said. “It gives us more opportunity to have bigger conversations and go deeper into conversations, versus coming in with an in-the-moment take that is either going to be right or wrong.”

Before Sharpe left Bayless in the dust like a broken marriage, the two had chemistry, but at a cost. The two would constantly bicker at one another like they had relationship problems. Now, with the newly-added Sherman, Irvin and potentially other guests, “Undisputed” could frolic in harmony once again.

Formally seen as a two-person show, it has now turned into a roundtable discussion. FS1 has added former ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols and will even feature rapper Lil Wayne.

Rachel Nichols will join FS1 as a regular panelist on the Skip Bayless show ‘Undisputed,’ sources told SBJ.” The original report from Sports Business Journal read. “The former ESPN analyst will join former NFL star Richard Sherman and rap star Lil Wayne as panelists on the show starting Aug. 28. Executives overseeing the show currently are deciding between whether to have former NFL stars Michael Irvin or Keyshawn Johnson join the cast of rotating analysts. That decision could come as early as today, sources said. The network plans to add a well-known NBA-focused analyst as that league’s season gets underway, sources said.”

Are all these additions to Skip Bayless’ show good for FS1? Let us know in the comments down below.
