Megan Fox will be a returning character in the new Mortal Kombat 1

There have been multiple trailers released by NetherRealm studios about the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 game. These trailers have just about revealed the whole roster and Kameo roster for the game, plus an official trailer featuring Dave Bautista was released in the hopes of building excitement among fans.

Now, NetherRealm announced that a movie star would be playing a fan-favorite character who is returning in the new game–actress Megan Fox will be bringing Nitara to life in MK1.

The new trailer gave an in-depth look at Nitara’s exciting gameplay and updated appearance. Nitara first appeared in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance in 2002, where she gained a lot of fans with her unique story. She is a vampire from outworld realm, who is a bit of an anti-hero, as she is not outright good or bad. However, she does need blood to survive, so it is best not to get in her way.

Nitara looked amazing in the new trailer. Her moves certainly tapped into her vampire aesthetic and her ability to manipulate blood. It’s nice to see Megan Fox excited to play Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1, as this will not be her first time playing a creature with a lust for blood–playing the demon succubus Jennifer Check in Jennifer’s Body (2009). Hopefully, this will give her the expertise needed to nail her performance.

Celebrities in Mortal Kombat 11

Megan Fox is not the first celebrity to be in a Mortal Kombat game. UFC superstar Ronda Rousey portrayed one of the versions of Sonya Blade in MK 11. This was a fun idea in getting a real-life badass to be Sonya, who is a no-nonsense strong character in her own right. Overall, it worked out even if some fans did not like Rousey’s performance as a voice actor.

A performance that no one had a problem with was Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. This actor reprised his role as the sorcerer Shang Tsung in MK11 and delivered a classic performance to all of the fans. This performance was so special as Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa played Shang Tsung on the big screen in the 1995 original Mortal Mombat movie. He was amazing on the big screen and in the video game and he has got Shang Tsung down to a T. Hopefully, Megan Fox can follow in his footsteps and deliver an awesome Nitara performance in Mortal Kombat 1.
