Marvin Harrison Jr: The Most Valuable Player In Dynasty?

Marvin Harrison Jr: The Most Valuable Player In Dynasty?

How do you feel about Marvin Harrison Jr.? That’s the question for today. We’re all about to find out one way or another in the Fall. I just happen to be on the side of this is the Micah Parsons of the 2024 NFL Draft. If that’s the case, can’t we all just admit that the new Cardinals wide receiver is the single most valuable asset in dynasty leagues?

Except he’s not being treated like that. Sometimes he’s not even the first pick in rookie drafts. Putting quarterbacks aside in superflex leagues, Harrison is still being passed on in favor of multiple wide outs in start-up leagues. I just want to know why.

Do we understand how good this guy is? His dad is Marvin Harrison, a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Reggie Wayne is on record for saying Jr. is better. Mostly because Jr. is 6-foot-4, faster, and has the same route running ability. Oh, and he’s a lunatic in terms of working on his craft. Jonathan Gannon recently came out and said he works too hard. Sounds like a great problem to have if that’s the issue with the former Ohio State receiver.

One thing I hate about dynasty leagues is that you hold onto the player forever. I much prefer formats where the guys hit free agency again after a certain period of time. Or there is some kind of keeper system where you can’t hold onto everyone forever. With that said, if you’re in a dynasty league, there is literally no player I’d rather have if I have to hold onto him forever. If you don’t get Marv now, you’re never getting him again.

Is anybody prepared for how good this guy is? I don’t think you are. Not with the rankings I’m seeing out there. Maybe don’t spend the entire budget on him in a redraft league. Long term? Please mark my name down to all of his future fantasy stock.

The only concern here is Arizona’s future QB situation. Regardless, you should be doing everything you can to get your hands on this guy in fantasy leagues before it’s too late. Maybe you need to be reminded just how good this freak is. It’s coming.
