Marvin Harrison Jr. 2024 NFL Draft Profile

I’m just going to say something that should be obvious but apparently isn’t. Marvin Harrison Jr. is the best wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft. It’s not arguable and you need to seek serious help mentally if you think otherwise. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, let’s review the 2024 NFL Draft Profile for the Ohio State receiver.

Harrison, a Philadelphia native, was listed as a four star prospect coming out of St. Joseph’s prep in high school. Stating the obvious here but Harrison is a natural in terms of just being a pure athlete. He has a basketball background as well during his younger years. His father was a filthy basketball player too.

Speaking of his father, yes, the elephant in the room is that this is Marvin Harrison’s son. Harrison Sr. was an eight-time Pro Bowl and was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He’s one of the greatest receivers to ever play the sport. By the way, his father is on record for saying Harrison Jr will be better than he was. Harrison’s teammate with the Colts, Reggie Wayne, also agrees with that.

The highest form of intelligence is to make the complex simple. Albert Einstein said that once. The NFL Draft can be really complicated if you make it complicated. This one is easy. It’s Marvin Harrison (who again I’ll remind you was a no doubter Hall of Famer) except 6-foot-4 with more speed. This one really isn’t hard.

The production is an easy checked box. Contributed right away as a freshman. The Rose Bowl game in 2022 was insane. Harrison Jr won the Biletnikoff Award this past year. However, the last two years he’s been the no doubter for all the awards including First-team Associated Press All-American, Big Ten Conference WR of the Year, and First-team All-Big Ten Conference. Harrison Jr. has 29 touchdowns over the last two years. In 2023, the former Buckeye notched 18.1 yards per reception with Kyle McCord throwing him the ball. McCord was deemed not good enough and has since transferred to Syracuse.

Harrison Jr did not work out at the Combine or participate in the Ohio State Pro Day. I don’t care and nor should you. If you want to see him work out during a Pro Day, revert to last year when he ran routes for CJ Stroud. You can see him work out plenty there. I don’t know what to tell you here. Micah Parsons didn’t play his last season at Penn State. If you need to see anything else, it’s because you’re brain-dead. It is what it is. The same applies here.

I’ve seen some people knock his speed. We don’t have a Combine number to dispute it but let’s just make sure those people are exposed as dumb. He can run and I don’t think it’s even a question. This video is two years old. If you don’t think this guy can run… I just really don’t know what to tell you. I’ve never even seen something so insane before.

Harrison Jr. is a true number one receiver in every sense of the word. It’s not just about being a great route runner, which Harrison is. This guy tilts the field. He commands double teams and puts up numbers despite it. More importantly, he wins with the ball in the air. It’s more than just being a contested catch guy. He has that MFer ball is mind quality and uses his incredible length and body control to win.

I think this is the best overall player in the draft and the best receiver I’ve ever seen coming out of college. The bar is Calvin Johnson and I think it’s a bar he should smash. He’s that good. Don’t over think this one or you will look foolish.
