Don’t let their record fool you, even with the best record in the NBA, they’re not as good as you think they are. Time will tell it. I even predicted a great record from the Lakers in the first 20 games of the season. Trust me, I’m a known Lebron hater, but he’s playing so well right now, I commend him for that. However, he should play well against bad teams, it’s expected of him. Even at 16-2, their record could be easily 11-7. In those 5 games, they won by 5 points or less, coming from the Kings, the Thunder twice, the Grizzlies, and the Pelicans. Not exactly the best company.
I’ll go even a step further, so far, only 3 teams in their 16 wins were over .500. No, I cannot blame the Lakers for their schedule, that isn’t the point of the post. I’m blaming you, the fans, the person reading this, disgruntled at me. Do not be a casual, the Lakers’ first 20 games was supposed to be good for them. I even predicted the floor for them during this stretch at 15-5. They have two more stretches of games that are easy for them, where they can even win all of them.
The point of this article isn’t to hate on the Lakers, but their record is inflated right now. Hell, I am taking the risk of sounding really stupid because after this 20 game stretch, if they continue to win, then this whole article is worthless. There are teams that have played a much more difficult schedule and have close to the best record in the NBA. Someone like the Bucks, with the future MVP in Giannis Antekounmpo (he’s going to win it again). But continue to hype up the Lakers, their record is inflated and they are going to lose more games when they have to play the best teams regularly. I do recommend checking out the article I linked for those stretches of games where the Lakers have a cakewalk. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, they won’t even win a championship either, you heard that here first.
