Kyle Shanahan Acknowledges Brandon Aiyuk Lowkey Stinks

Brandon Aiyuk stinks. Apparently, I’m the only one that knew that prior to Sunday. During Week 1 of the 2021 NFL Season, Aiyuk finished his game against the Lions with zero yards on zero receptions. Guy sucks. No one should be surprised. I’ve been trying to tell you that.

Anyway… his head coach Kyle Shanahan recently spoke to the media about why Aiyuk got outshined by some bum named Trent Sherfield. Not that he had to explain it, to begin with. Shanahan didn’t mince words. Be better than Trent Sherfield and he will see the field.

“I’m not trying to single out any specifics because it’s like very player,” Shanahan said. “You’ve got to grow in every single area. And know this is all being like we’re punishing Aiyuk or something because Trent got even reps with him, or we rotated those guys. I’m not going to sit here and say he’s got to do A, B, and C to get back out there. It’s more we’ve been practicing the last month, and one guy’s been there every day, and I think the quarterback’s got a lot of confidence in him. I do. … But yeah, if he wants to be out there every single play, he’s got to be a lot better than the guy behind him.”

For the record, Aiyuk played 26 snaps. Sherfield played 27. But hey, Aiyuk is listed as the number one punt returner on the depth chart so the former first round pick has that going for him. Deebo Samuel is the real star here. Anybody with a brain on them knew that already.

I don’t know what you want me to tell you. Pre-draft, I compared Aiyuk to N’Keal Harry except with longer arms. Both bums. Both guys stink. Both guys got way over drafted. Get over it. Wave the white flag.

The unfortunate part here is that Kyle Shanahan really isn’t good at looking for talent in the draft. Keep in mind, Shanahan would have drafted Aiyuk over CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, and Justin Jefferson. K. The guy Shanahan drafted isn’t good enough to beat out Trent Sherfield. This story can’t get funnier.

PS: 49ers fan 69 has something coming for him. If you know, you know.
