Kyle Brandt: Is Anybody Going To Talk About His Childish Rant On Justin Fields?

I can’t believe I have to be the one to do this but everyone seems to have forgotten something very important. Kyle Brandt over at that Good Morning Football Show on NFL Network had the most childish rant of all time on Justin Fields. In the aftermath of it all, nobody has said a word about how asinine it was. I’m simply bringing it back up because it needs to be talked about.

I have so many problems with this video for so many reasons. The fact that nobody punched this idiot in the face afterward blows my mind. That Good Morning Football show absolutely blows and it has everything to do with Brandt acting like a fake tough guy who spews nothing but uneducated thoughts.

A: It should not have mattered if the Bears won or lost in Week 18 (they lost to Green Bay and Fields still hasn’t beaten the Packers). The idea that the Bears were going to make a decision on Fields based on the result of that game is so laughable. The idea that you’re going to make a definitive call on Fields based on a Week 18 game where they were already eliminated from playoff contention is so dumb that you can’t make it up.

B: Everyone continues to ask the wrong question about Fields. The fact that Brandt never brings up that question shows how dumb he is. Are you willing to pay Fields $45 million per year? If the answer is no, then you have to move on. If the answer is yes, then you have your answer. Trade the pick and improve the team around him.

C: Wins are not a quarterback stat. The fact that he doesn’t understand that tells me everything you need to know. So if they won but Fields played like trash does that mean he’s the QB of the future because of a Week 18 game?

You can’t make up how dumb this is. It’s disgusting how much money they pay this guy to spew nonsense. Brandt has no talent and all this rant did was expose him. Just like his idiotic rant on Kirk Cousins in the embed above.

There is no decision. There wasn’t one regardless of the result of the Packer game. Paying Fields $40 million is lunacy. Reset the contract and draft Caleb Williams. This isn’t that hard.
