Kevin Durant Helped Get Marijuana Unbanned By NBA

99% of the NBA circle is probably overwhelmed with joy now that Marijuana is no longer a banned substance by the NBA. Well, everyone except for Stephen A Smith who is probably off somewhere yelling at clouds to “stay off the weeeeeeeeeeeeeed”. It turns out that players might want to thank Kevin Durant for the rule change.

“So what did you tell Adam?” Cronin asked. “How did you persuade him?”

“Well, he smelled it when I walked in,” Durant replied. “So I didn’t really have to say much, you know what I’m saying? He kind of understood where this was going…It’s the NBA, man… everybody does it, to be honest. It’s like wine at this point.”

“I just felt like it was becoming a thing around the country, around the world…The stigma behind it wasn’t as negative as it was before. It doesn’t affect you in any negative way.”

Look, I’m a sports guy. I’m not going to shove my political views down your throat. That’s not what I do. I’m way better at the sports thing. With that said, KD is right in the sense that the population of players that take part in cannabis products is probably high.

Additionally, I’m sure some players seek out marijuana for pain management. It is a plant after all. The number of people that have died from painkillers far outweighs the number of people that died from smoking grass. That’s just a fact.

Regardless of what Stephen A says, the plant has some benefits.
