Nothing infuriates me more than when somebody says “THIS LEAGUE”! I can’t stand it. I hate it with a fiery passion. The NBA has gone too soft. Hard fouls have left the game, nobody plays defense, and the entire topic of conversation is based around free agency. It doesn’t stop. It could be the middle of December and the media only cares where each player will sign next season. Nobody cares about the games. It’s a circus.
Kevin Durant hates that circus. In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Durant talked about a number of topics: The circus that is the NBA is one of them:
“Some days I hate the circus of the NBA,” Durant told the WSJ. “Some days I hate that the players let the NBA business, the fame that comes with the business, alter their minds about the game. Sometimes I don’t like being around the executives and politics that come with it. I hate that.”
Kevin Durant just wants to play basketball and have fun doing it. He still doesn’t understand why people get mad at him for leaving Oklahoma City. I’m on his side with this one. Who are you to tell someone where they can and can’t live?
“Such a venomous toxic feeling when I walked into that arena [after joining the Warriors],” Durant told the WSJ. “And just the organization, the trainers and equipment managers, those dudes is pissed off at me? Ain’t talking to me? I’m like, ‘Yo, this is where
we going with this? Because I left a team and went to play with another team?’“I’ll never be attached to that city (Oklahoma City) again because of that. I eventually wanted to come back to that city and be part of that community and organization, but I
don’t trust nobody there. That s— must have been fake, what theywas doing. The organization, the GM, I ain’t talked to none of those people, even had a nice exchange with those people, since I left.”
I’ll be the first to admit, I love Kevin Durant. Sure, he’s a little sensitive to criticism. Some people are. I’m certainly not. You can call me every name in the book, I’ll just laugh and you and enjoy the entertainment. Durant cares. Some people do. Here’s what I know about Kevin Durant. He had no choice but to leave OKC. You can’t win with Westbrook. He’s a cancer and career killer. It’s why Paul George wanted the f*ck out of there this year.
Kevin Durant is the best scorer of my life and the best overall player I’ve ever watched. In back to back Finals, he took LeBron James head on and nailed dagger shots right in his face to win championships. I wish him a speedy recovery!
