Up next for the 2025 NFL Draft profile series is Florida defensive tackle Joshua Farmer. We’re not going to take forever with this one, and you’re about to find out why here in a hot minute.

Farmer, 22, checks in at 6-foot-3, 305, and was a three star prospect out of high school. During the 2021 cycle, the Port St. Joe, Florida, native was ranked as the 118th DL and 101st ranked player in the state. He spent all four years with the Seminoles.

The redshirt junior has a weird timeline here. Farmer flashed as a sophomore but then this past year never carried over that same momentum. He went from Second-team All-ACC to Honorable mention. Maybe playing with Verse and Fiske had something to do with that.

Florida State was dreadful this year, and Farmer exacerbated the problems in the early season games I watched. I thought his effort on some plays was dreadful. I couldn’t have been less impressed during the early season stuff I watched. Just goes into slug mode far too often and never has that wow first step factor.

The predraft process was so so. If anything, I think we filled in the rest of the coloring book with it. He’s got one more. It’s bullrush over and over again. Ripped out 26 bench press reps at the Combine. He’s a fastball pitcher with nothing else going for him. The rest of the workout was underwhelming, but you can check out that link on your own time. The Senior Bowl was C level. Again, during the one-on-ones, I was watching the same thing like an alzheimer patient rewatching a TV show. All bull and nothing else.

The positive is that Farmer has some sack production. Nine over the last two years isn’t terrible for an interior player. When he can bull and use his 35 inch arms, he can make something happen.

I have a 6th-7th round grade on Joshua Farmer. I’m just really not impressed with this player. Maybe he can be a depth piece on your front, but I wouldn’t expect much beyond that.
