Josh Hart Is Incredibly Underrated
I just want to have a quick chat about Josh Hart. Nobody talks about this guy but they should be. Hart is easily one of the most underrated players in the NBA. Frankly, I’m not sure the Knicks even know what they have with the former Villanova product.
For starters, I genuinely don’t think there is a better rebounding guard in the NBA. Rebounding is such a crucial and underrated part of the game. Hart is damn good at it. A season ago, Hart notched 7.8 rebounds per game while coming off the bench. Does anyone understand how insane that is?
Hart fits that Nova mentality. The guy plays his ass off and he continues to get better and better. Hart is a career 35% 3-point shooter but he’s been much better in that area since his early playing days. Hart was over 37% a season ago.
He’s the ultimate Swiss Army Knife that nobody talks about. He can defend up and down the lineup. Rebounds like a warrior. Can hit shots and score in the paint. He’s a chain in the offense and the ball never gets stuck with him. Hart also averaged 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game a season ago.
Someone needs to have a serious talk with Tom Thibodeau. Thibs is weird with his rotations but he’s out of his mind if Hart isn’t part of the group that closes games. Hart is the perfect glue guy for this Knicks team and I hope they appreciate him. By the way, the contract they have him under is so team friendly too. I hope Knick fans appreciate Hart because he’s a good one any team would be lucky to have.
