Jeff Nadu Out At Barstool Once Again

Jeff Nadu is out the door once again. Less than a year after returning, Nadu has departed Barstool Sports following a dispute over his salary.

Check out the full details on Monday’s Barstool Rundown:

Long story short, this is crazy. Nadu quit in 2021 due to a number of ugly reasons, with his feud against Rico Bosco likely at the top of the list. However, he basically begged to come back in 2022, and his wish was granted. As Portnoy put it in the video, he was signed to a one-year deal with an option for a second. They were ready to trigger the second-year option and a raise of $10,000. However, Nadu was disappointed and reportedly wanted as much as $200,000 for the second year, which Portnoy described as a “100 percent raise.” On top of that, he even wanted Portnoy to appear on his RoundBall Podcast.

That basically forced Portnoy’s hand to null the contract and release Nadu. They even discussed how he did not show up to the Barstool office and that his podcast was not making them any money. It’s not pretty to air out dirty laundry, but sometimes it’s the only way.

While Dave claims he doesn’t have any ill will towards Nadu, he did use some pretty strong language on the video. He was already on pretty bad terms with other employees, but this was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

What’s Next For Nadu?

It’s honestly hard to say what his next move could be. From an outside perspective, it seemed like Nadu had things pretty good at Barstool: never coming into the office, putting out a bang average podcast and pissing off coworkers.

If I had to guess, he’s gonna try to keep the podcast going, but I can’t imagine any company would want anything to do with him. Not fulfilling your contract and causing an ugly exit for a second time is far from a good look. Portnoy said he can’t deal with him anymore and even said Nadu is dead to him.

Once again, Jeff Nadu has unceremoniously exited Barstool Sports. However, there is no chance of another return this time around. He is officially dead to Barstool for good.
