Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports Adds Brazilian Stars To Roster

Roc Nation Sports has just entered the big time with its soccer representation.

The sports division of Jay-Z’s agency Roc Nation announced its expansion into South America on Friday with its acquisition of Brazilian agency TFM.

Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and rising star Endrick highlight the players who were represented by the São Paulo-based TSM. Now, they will be folded into the Roc Nation Sports soccer roster.

TSM will still maintain a fair amount of independence despite the acquisition. Frederico Pena, TSM’s founder, will remain the director of the company, and the normal operations of the Brazilian agency will remain the same. The main change, however, is that all operations will now be under the Roc Nation Sports name.

Before expanding to Brazil, the agency was already representing global superstars including Kevin De Bruyne and Romelulu Lukaku. Young American talents Chris Richards and Jack McGlynn were also already on the agency’s roster.

This Brazilian acquisition, however, has completely changed the game for Jay-Z’s sports division’s soccer representation. Before expanding to Brazil, it represented 40 players. Now, it has added around 80 players overnight, bringing its roster size to about 120 players.

While this is an impressive jump, it was not just the quantity that enticed Roc Nation Sports to expand to Brazil, but rather the quality. Vini Jr., Gabriel Martinelli and Endrick are some of the most exciting young players in the world. Adding their names to the roster provides a huge boost in improving the agency’s prestige.

Plus, Brazil is a talent factory that constantly pumps out elite players. Getting a foot in the Brazilian soccer landscape provides the agency with access to some of the best and most exciting players in the world.

This expansion to Brazil now adds premier soccer representation to Roc Nation’s catalog. Founded in 2013, the agency also represents over 200 athletes in a variety of sports, including Kevin Durant and Saquon Barkley.

Expect to hear the agency’s name more in the future as it continues to expand its soccer representation.
