Jay White Expected To Leave NJPW-Reports

Jay White is one of the biggest stars in NJPW. He began wrestling for the company back in 2015 and has been a staple ever since. He’s had a lot of success in NJPW as well. White is a former Never Openweight Champion, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, IWGP United States Champion, IWGP Intercontinental Champion, and IWGP Heavyweight Champion all at the age of 30. He’s appeared in various promotions outside of NJPW also including ROH, Impact, and AEW. But White’s time in NJPW may be coming to an end soon.

Is Jay White Leaving NJPW?

According to Fightful Select, Jay White’s contract with NJPW is coming to an end soon. Per people inside the company, Jay White is reportedly expected to leave to come to the United States. Both WWE and AEW are reportedly interested in signing White and WWE sources were confident they would be able to get him. However, it is worth noting that neither company would be able to contact White until his contract with NJPW is officially done. Jay White reportedly told Fightful that WWE in early 2021 and that their desire to get him has accelerated. Also, White reportedly told Fightful that AEW never approached him about a contract with the company.

Jay White recently lost the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 17. Now, White is set to take on Hikuleo on February 11th in a “loser leaves Japan” match. Nothing has been confirmed by White nor NJPW at the time of writing this. White is a massive talent at still very young so wherever he ends up will score a massive signing.
