Jarquez Hunter Is A No-Brainer Pick In Dynasty Rookie Drafts
Not sure what to do during your dynasty rookie drafts? Let me give you one piece of advice that won’t regret by this time next year. Jarquez Hunter is the biggest no-brainer pick in drafts, and if you leave with the new Rams running backs, you probably got your money’s worth.
Hunter, 22, was selected during the 4th round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Rams. The Rams didn’t just draft Hunter. They traded up to do so. Keep in mind, Les Snead is a big Auburn guy, and it’s pretty obvious this regime has been tracking Hunter for a long time.
I know what you’re thinking…
But what about Blake Corum?
Not sure what to tell you there other than the fact that I was never high on Corum. Hunter is just the way better player. He’s way faster, more powerful, and actually carried a bad team in the SEC. We’re talking about a guy who averaged 6.4 yards per carry last year at Auburn while every opposing team in America knew Payton Thorne couldn’t beat them. It’s damn impressive.
By the way, every metric you want to use indicates Hunter is by far the most talented back the McVay regime has gotten their hands on…
Here’s the bottom line. Yes, Kyren Williams is awesome, but that doesn’t mean it will stay that way. He’s developed a bit of a fumbling problem, and there’s no guarantee the Rams will re-sign him at the number he’s likely seeking.
Also, you can have Hunter basically for free in any rookie draft. Nobody is paying attention. You can turn the card in for him anytime after the third round, and know you’re getting a future stud. In this offense, Hunter will get his turn, and he’s going to look good doing it.
