James Ennis: 76ers Will ‘Walk To NBA Finals’

It seems like everybody is all in on the 76ers. Chad Bauman essentially claimed that the 76ers are the team to beat in the NBA. Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, Al Horford, and Joel Embiid as a starting five should inspire confidence. No doubt. James Ennis took that confidence to a whole different level. Ennis claims the 76ers will ‘walk to the NBA Finals’.

“Because it’s a good team, and a good chance of winning via Keith Pompey. The East is going to wide open. We had a good chance last year. Kawhi is gone. He went to the West. So we are going to walk to the Finals in the East.”

I’ve been on record for this and a lot of people will disagree. I do not like the Al Horford fit on this team. This contract 2 years in is going to look egregious. Horford was sort of a playmaking center for Boston where the offense sort of run through him. Well, that’s what Ben Simmons does. What does Horford do for this team? The 76ers need more offensive replacing Jimmy Butler. Horford isn’t going to give them that outside of hitting some open shots. What I do know is he’s going to get bullied on the glass.

I also think it’s fair to say the rest of the East is down. The Celtics probably are worse. The Raptors are definitely worse. Losing Malcolm Brogdon hurts the Bucks. The 76ers might be the most talented team. It’s just a question of how those puzzle pieces fit together. I also think it’s fair to question the size this team has. Maybe it’s a good thing. Maybe it’s a bad thing.
