The Iron Sheik passed away Wednesday at the age of 81. He is not only a wrestling legend, but an icon of a golden era of professional wrestling. He was truly one of the greatest heels to ever step foot in a ring and helped make many wrestlers into stars in the WWE.
The Iron Sheik helped put Hulk Hogan on the map, who has become his bitter enemy more recently. Many fans and wrestlers have expressed their sadness at this icon’s passing. But one movie star took to Twitter to offer a touching Tribute.
Macaulay Culkin, star of the “Home Alone” movies, tweeted out a touching tribute to The Iron Sheik.

This just goes to show how big of an impact he has left not only on professional wrestling but the world. He truly was a larger-than-life character and set the groundwork for many stars to walk on in the future. Furthermore, he was in an era with so many massive icons, and he shined just as bright as the next.
It’s hard to put into words just how much The Iron Sheik meant to professional wrestling. He’s a guy that everyone loves and respects. He always said how he felt, which made him extremely authentic. Furthermore, he was always a highlight on social media; anyone who follows him on Twitter knows truly how much he hates Hulk Hogan.
Furthermore, he always tweeted in all caps, which perfectly represents his personality.
The Iron Sheik is an icon. His character transcended professional wrestling and impacted so many people. Not only in professional wrestling but the world as a whole. Everyone knows about The Iron Sheik because he was a star that shined bright. Rest easy, Bubba.
