Giannis Antetokounmpo States Steph Curry is the Best in the World
Everyone should know who Giannis Antetokounmpo is as he is one of the best basketball players of his generation. Giannis, who is also known as the Greek Freak, has an astounding list of accolades as he is an NBA champion, NBA Finals MVP, a two-time NBA MVP, an NBA Defensive Player of the Year, and a six-time All-Star. He has all of these incredible feats before the age of 30 which displays the greatness of the Greek Freak.
However, it appears that Giannis is not sold on his accomplishments as he does not believe he is the best basketball player in the world. This should not come as a total shocker as the Greek Freak is a humble person who has refused to give himself credit before in the media. Although what is a shocker is who he named as the best player in the world. Giannis Antetokounmpo when speaking to Milwaukee Bucks media shared his thoughts on the best player in the world conversation.
This was a huge tip of the cap by Giannis to acknowledge the greatness of Steph Curry. He labeled him the best player in the world. Curry led his Golden State Warriors to a 4-2 2022 NBA Finals win over an extremely tough Boston Celtics team. This was a Warriors team that had not won a championship since 2018, when they had Kevin Durant, and that was in the NBA Lottery in 2021. Curry deserves his flowers, but best player in the world, I am not so sure.
Luckily, Giannis gave some insight into his mind by specifying that he feels “the last man standing” or the person that is the champion is the best player. It seems like Giannis’ best player in the world will continue to rotate. Many people think the Greek Freak is the top player, however it’s clear he does not think the same way.
The Best Players In The World According To Giannis Antetokounmpo
This is something Giannis has done time and time again as he has called multiple players the best in the world. As I stated earlier he is an amazingly humble human being. But, if Giannis would have answered himself anytime in the past five years, not a whole lot of people would have been mad. He is that dominant and he is that good.
However, in the past, he has stated Lebron James as the best player in the world. Giannis noted how King James was still magnificent even as he was going into year 17. Also, the Greek Freak has named Kevin Durant as the best player in the world before, specifically, after game five of the 2021 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. This was when KD almost single-handedly carried the Brooklyn Nets past the Milwaukee Bucks by himself in that series. Now, we can finally add Curry’s name to the list of best in the world according to Giannis Antetokounmpo.
