Maybe Josh Gattis Just Sucks At Coaching?
You just truly never know with some of these coaching hires. It’s always this hot shot offensive coordinator is going to turn things around! Yeah, well this time I’m not having it. I think I have all the information I need here. Maybe Josh Gattis just sucks at coaching?
Michigan may have made the college football playoff a year ago but it’s not like their offense was dynamic. Furthermore, does it appear that Michigan’s offense has taken a step back without him this year? I think that answer is quite clearly no.
Mario Cristobal was supposed to turn things around at Miami. Cristobal thrives at recruiting and offensive line play. Josh Gattis was supposed to be the guy that was going to make this Hurricanes offense explosive. Tyler Van Dyke was earmarked as a first round prospect by several “experts” (not by me by me, but he’s not untalented). Miami is 2-2 on the season and fresh off a loss to Middle Tennessee.
Maybe it’s time we all start to talk about how Josh Gattis is a nobody. Maybe it’s time we have a chat that we need to stop having CFB analysts blow another offensive coaching hire without knowing a damn thing about them.

Great clip and well said. Look, I don’t sit there and pretend to be a film junkie. I don’t do it nor do I have time to do it. However, I’m just so tired of the media pretending that they know which offensive guys are studs. I’m not grinding the tape but it’s not hard to spot when something looks broken and Miami’s offense is exactly that.
Josh Gattis – Broyles award winner. Maybe this guy just sucks. Maybe calling decent plays at Michigan isn’t that hard when Jim Harbaugh is running the show. Call this blog a warning shot. If you’re about to brag up a coach, please do your homework prior to doing so. Because unless you’re in that interview room, you just don’t know. It would appear that Gattis is a big fat phony and maybe more people should have seen it coming.
