Giannis Antetokounmpo Rumors: Warriors “Preparing” For Run At Greek Freak

Yep, the Golden State Warriors are preparing to fuck the league again. This time, it won’t be as easy, but man, aren’t the repercussions scary. This is different than when Kevin Durant became a snake and signed with the Warriors. Yes, joining a team you lost to when you have a 3-1 lead on them in the Western Conference is a snake movie, therefore he’s a snake. Just a very good snake. Moving on, Now the Warriors face their boldest move yet, to acquire the NBA’s next superstar. I say the next superstar because Giannis Antetokounmpo is only 25 years old. Other superstars in the league are approaching 30, so Giannis hasn’t even hit his prime yet.

The San Francisco Chronicle’s Connor Letourneau reported these rumors, his quote:

“Though all indications are that he’s on good terms with team management, league sources believe that Antetokounmpo would want out of Milwaukee if he loses confidence in the franchise’s ability to win championships,” Letourneau wrote. “This is why the NBA shutdown could buoy the Warriors’ chances of landing their long-coveted Greek.”

If they been preparing for years, the Warriors are playing chess while the rest of the league is playing checkers. Preparing for years means that when they had KD, they were already planning to go for Giannis. Chess moves. I can commend the Warriors for trying to always compete, it is both annoying and mesmerizing. Game respects game. Although Giannis won’t be coveted by JUST the Warriors, everyone in the league will be after him. There might not be a chance that the Bucks lose him, but the Warriors will take that chance.

The best respectable trade the Warriors can offer for Giannis is Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green for Giannis, but then they would have to match salaries. It doesn’t seem feasible through trade. The best course of action is just to wait until the 2021 free agency (which is legendary by the way) and hope to sign him. We’ve heard of these rumors for a while, now they are becoming a reality. It’s going to be a circus for Giannis Antetokounmpo, we’ll see what happens.
