It’s gut-check time for the Celtics. It’s time for Marcus Smart to bring the eye of the tiger. I’m going to need Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Kemba Walker to all bring it. The Raptors defended their title with pride (while crying about every call), but it’s time to go home.
The Celtics social media team put together a hell of a strategy. They showed players on the team a video of family members cheering them on to go out there and win.
Not going to lie; I got the goosies. It had a lot of Rocky two flashbacks. You know, Adrian is in the coma. Rocky can’t even think or train for his fight against Apollo Creed. Then Adrian wakes up.
Credit where credit is due. I don’t know whose idea it was to show the players the video, but it was brilliant. If the Celtics got out there and smoke the Raptors today, that person pretty much deserves all the credit. It’s the eye of the tiger time. Go out there and dominate.
Raptors-Celtics shouldn’t even be a seven-game series. The Celtics lost two of the games by a combined four points. One was because of a miracle shot. The other was by a series of events that were complete nonsense. The Celtics have way more talent. Pascal Siakam isn’t a number one. Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet shouldn’t be enough to win a series over this Celtics team.
