Frank Reich Is An Idiot And Carolina Needs To Fire Him
The NFC South is a trash division. The team that misses the playoffs in the AFC North should get their playoff spot. Coming into the year, I really thought the Carolina Panthers had a chance to win the division, just like any other team in the division. That has NOT been the case. The Panthers are 0-6 and the only thing we know for sure is that Frank Reich has exposed himself as a moron.
This year is probably a lost cause. Heading into the 2024-25 NFL Season, there is no way Carolina can bring Reich back. Reich needs to be fired sooner rather than later and has totally botched this job in Carolina.
A: What Reich did in the media a few days ago should be viewed as unforgivable. You’re never going to win the battle of throwing the owner under the bus.
“There’s different philosophies in ownership. Some owners kinda stay away and don’t engage a whole lot. Other owners do. And his philosophy [Tepper] is he’s gonna engage.
And listen, it’s only been a short experience, but it’s been a really good experience. It hasn’t been fun. It’s not fun. Those meetings, I wouldn’t characterize them as fun meetings. But those meetings make me better and I trust they make us better.”
I’m sorry but this is BS and nobody should side with Reich on this one. Last time I checked, Carolina won seven games last year and almost won the division. Then Reich took over and they can’t buy a win. He’s the only element that’s changed except for the fact that they’re getting better quarterback play. That’s not on the owner. I’d want to have weekly meetings too if I hired a guy that made the team worse.
You’re never going to win the battle of throwing the owner under the bus. You’re asking to be fired at that point. Frankly, Tepper has a right to complain given the performance on the field.
B: In that same interview Reich basically says without saying that he wanted CJ Stroud. Except a few months ago he said the exact opposite to the media. I don’t care if the owner stepped in and demanded that the team took Young. Reich’s job is the make the quarterback play better and he hasn’t done that.
The offensive line has gotten worse. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the Panthers are running 62% of their first down plays out of shotgun. Every play is five out and shotgun and then he wonders why his quarterback takes a beating. Carolina allowed 36 sacks last year. They’re already at 19 through six games with a more athletic quarterback. You think that’s an accident or is that the idiot who wants to kill his QB’s fault?
C: How do you think Bryce Young feels about the fact that his coach basically admitted that he wanted someone else? That can’t happen. Young won the Heisman and was the first pick in the draft. The organization isn’t doing its job if they aren’t building the team around him. Reich shouldn’t remain in place for that reason alone.
Frank Reich needs to be slapped fired ASAP. It’s blatantly obvious Reich isn’t head coach material and should never be given one of these opportunities again.
