What a joke. I can’t believe what a just watched. Jags trail 27-0 to the Chargers and won. It’s the third largest comeback in NFL history. Some things just never change. The Chargers blowing a game late? Isn’t that just the epitome of their franchise? If the Chargers want to ever be taken seriously, it starts with firing Brandon Staley.

What is Brandon Staley’s value if the defensive head coach can’t hang onto a 27-0 lead? The NFL is built around smart NFL minds. Staley is not one of them. The problem is this collapse isn’t even the worst part. It’s all the things that led up to the collapse to where bringing him back can’t even be a consideration.

A five year old wouldn’t make the mistakes that Staley did even at the most basic level. A group of kindergartners would have more brain power than to play Mike Williams in the final week of the season in a game that didn’t matter. How brain dead was that? Staley has been blasted for that call and rightly so. The problem is I’m not sure what he did with Justin Herbert earlier in the season was any better.

It’s not like we here at Vendetta didn’t see this coming. Scott Logush wrote a lovely piece that you can read here ripping the Staley hire from jump street. We have seen what Brian Daboll has done for this Giants team? The Chargers hired Staley instead. Admit you made a mistake and try again. Otherwise, you’re going to waste a premier talent in the form of Justin Herbert. Do it now before it’s too late.
