Credit to Doug P. If Doug Pederson didn’t already deserve his respect for the Eagles Super Bowl win back in 2017, then he sure did tonight. The Jaguars had an unreal comeback win over the Chargers tonight in the wild-card round.
The broadcast was terrible, Brandon Staley needs to be fired, and the end of game play calls by Pederson need to be remembered forever.
It started with the two point call. Pederson was dragging his nuts all over the ground with this one. Down ten, scores a touchdown, then goes for two? 99% of coaches just take the extra point here and play for the field goal to tie it on the next possession to send it into overtime. Pederson went for the jugular.
Fast forward to the last possession of the game. I don’t even have words to properly describe it other than it looked like a moment in Madden that you just create a wide open run with no defenders in sight. What a call on fourth and one.
Doug P gets crushed if any of these calls go wrong. You know how the idiots in the media are. Doug P don’t play no games. He’s aggressive to a fault. This time, there were no faults. It was the only way they were staying alive.
What a coaching job. This team had the first pick in the draft one year ago. Today they’re AFC South champs and have already secured a playoff win under their belt. Give Doug Pederson his credit today. He’s earned his beer for the night. Make it four.
