Draft Busters 2025 NFL Draft Tight End Rankings

With the 2024 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, the Draft Busters turn their attention to the 2025 NFL Draft and bring you our Tight End rankings! Full transparency, I am not sold on this class being very good, so Chickster and I are just going to bring you our top five. Trey released his rankings, which you can find here, and he did his top ten. This makes total sense, as he is significantly better at this than anyone else, so that tracks.

5: Mitchell Evans (Notre Dame)

We begin our 2025 NFL Draft rankings with Mitchell Evans out of Notre Dame. Evans cracks the top five of the list based on pure potential. He has the frame you want out of a Tight End at 6’5 250 lbs, and we’ve seen Notre Dame Tight Ends turn into real solid players. Another new QB in South Bend isn’t ideal, but if Evans can make the most of it he could be a riser.

4: Brant Kuithe (Utah)

I almost hesitated to put Brant Kuithe on this list simply because he feels like an oversized slot guy. The route tree is crispy for someone who plays the position, has really solid hands, and can move in space well. Let’s not forget that he was the starter over Dalton Kincaid, and I think Buffalo is pretty happy with how he’s turned out so far.

3: Caden Prieskorn (Ole Miss)

Ole Miss is going to have a really good season this year, and I believe that Caden Prieskorn is going to be a solid cog in the offense that will spearhead this team. He went over 400 yards and four touchdowns in his first year in the SEC, and if this offense blooms and he can really improve on those numbers, we could be looking at a rising Tight End prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft.

2: Oscar Delp (Georgia)

This one might be a surprise, especially seeing how Trey and I have matched on every top prospect so far through these 2025 NFL Draft rankings, but I have Oscar Delp second right now. Yes, he did very well in place of Brock Bowers when he went down with his ankle injury. Yes, I think with a full year as the starter and a returning Carson Beck, he could really boom. Great hands, can block his tail off as well. However…

1: Colston Loveland (Michigan)

This is my bonafide number-one Tight End in the 2025 NFL Draft. I’m in on Colston Loveland. I see flashes of Kyle Pitts when I watch Loveland play, and Pitts was a stallion (IYKYK) at Florida. Similar frame, super athletic, and great at creating space at the point of catch to bring the ball down. This Michigan offense was not kind for receivers/tight ends, but he came away with almost 650 yards. This is a massive year for him, and if he can match or increase the production, I don’t think there’s a doubt in my mind he is the TE1.

Chickster’s Rankings:

  • 1) Colston Loveland (Michigan)
  • 2) Oscar Delp (Georgia)
  • 3) Bryson Nesbit (North Carolina)
  • 4) Luke Lachey (Iowa)
  • 5) Mitchell Evans (Notre Dame)
