It’s never too early to peek forward to the 2025 NFL Draft. Vendetta has been bringing you way too early rankings, and in this one, we will be going over the Wide Receivers expected to enter the draft next season. If you want to read Trey’s, you can find them here. No, this class is not nearly as good as last season, however, you are still going to have quite a few guys to choose from in this cycle, but they just might not have the star power this class had.
*Disclaimer, Trey is insane in the best way possible and gave you 25, the Draft Busters are just going to be bringing you our top ten. Chickster’s list will be at the bottom.*
We begin our list of the 2025 NFL Draft Wide Receiver rankings with Moose Muhammad III. Yes, he is the son of long-time NFL receiver Mushin Muhammad. Not totally sure he can survive as an outside receiver in the NFL, but would make for a dangerous slot guy. I’m fairly high on Connor Weigman this year, based on our QB rankings, and I think the main benefactor to this would be Muhammad.
Example two of guys higher on my list because I expect their QB to take a jump this year is Barion Brown out of Kentucky. Brown has home run speed and is dangerous in the open field. We couldn’t really see him take that next step last season with Devin Leary, but I think Brock Vandagriff has a chance to be real solid, and if they work Brown into the offense and let him eat with that speed, he should rise up draft boards.
I just couldn’t get any higher on my 2025 NFL Draft Wide Receiver rankings for Evan Stewart than eight. He’s a bit of a drama queen and is not afraid to let it show when things aren’t going well. But if you can get that straightened out, you have one heck of a ballplayer. He’s a former five-star recruit and was the number-one receiver in his class. Let’s hope the move to Oregon pays off for him in terms of an attitude adjustment.
Ole Miss keeps finding ways to get quality receivers into the draft, and they might have another here in Tre Harris. Harris’s main issue is consistency. He exploded against LSU for 8/153/1, then followed that up with one reception against Arkansas. 11/213/1 against A&M, 2/12 the following week, albeit against Georgia. Harris has a solid frame, natural route runner, and can be physical at the point of catch, he just needs to provide a little consistency to his game.
Oregon has two dynamite receivers in the 2025 NFL Draft, and this is after losing Troy Franklin to the draft this season. Johnson eclipsed 1,100 yards as a complementary piece in this offense, and we could see even more out of him this year. Johnson absolutely flies around the field but can show off underrated route skills on the underneath stuff.
I think Isaiah Bond out of Texas is being underrated as we look toward the 2025 NFL Draft. Bond was a decent performer in an Alabama offense with Jalen Milroe, but with an upgrade at QB and entering a WR room that lost a ton of talent to this past draft, Bond has a chance to really step up and become a household name this season. He’s someone to keep a keen eye on as he could be a huge riser during this upcoming season.
I think Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi might be really good, and if he takes another step in his progression in his play this season, we could see a monster year out of Troy Horton. Horton finished with 96 receptions for 1,136 yards and eight touchdowns a year ago, and I really believe he could surpass all those numbers this season. Not sold on his pure speed, but I am sold on him being one of the best route runners in the class. I’m in.
Ohio State continues to produce elite-level talent at the Wide Receiver position (spoiler, they have a guy on the roster this year who might be better than everyone in recent years and rivals Marvin Harrison Jr. in Carnell Tate). Egbuka was hampered with an ankle injury last season, but we could see a return to form for Egbuka, who’s last healthy season he posted 74 receptions for 1,151 yards and 11 touchdowns. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with “just slot guys” but that’s another story for another day.
Absolute freak show is the best way to describe Tetairoa McMillian out of Arizona. 6’5 210 lbs, runs like a gazelle but has some of the most sure hands in the class. He managed to snag 90 receptions for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns a year ago. He’s an anomaly in this class and I think once we come around to the 2025 NFL Draft, NFL teams will be seriously considering McMillian as the best in the class.
Luther Burden III is a Swiss army knife, case, and point. Burden was a former five-star recruit and the second-ranked receiver in his class, behind Evan Stewart listed above. Burden exploded this season after a slow start to his career, ending the year with 86 receptions for just over 1,200 yards and nine touchdowns. Just get him the ball and let him cook in the open field.
