Does Ted Lasso Have A Future As A Soccer GM?

This is a la la Looney Tunes post but just hang with me on this one. By the end of it, maybe you will see the light. Does Ted Lasso have a future as a soccer GM? It’s hard to ignore this evidence right here.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane. For anyone who watched the Ted Lasso FIFA series on our YouTube channel (link to playlist) AFC Richmond became the powerhouse team in the Premier League. I would just like to remind people that the entire foundation of AFC Richmond was built by stealing all of the young stallions on Bayer Leverkusen.

What did Leverkusen accomplish this year? Hmm… they only dominated the Bundesliga all year and ended Bayern’s run of dominance. Jackson Fyda has a great write-up on their season.

Let’s just not forget that Ted Lasso saw this coming. The first signing in AFC Richmond team history when Lasso took them over was Jeremie Frimpong. Lasso knew about Frimpong before anybody. Can the guy get any credit for that?

Okay, I’m back to reality now. I just think it’s worth mentioning that I have mastered the art of team building in FIFA. The teams I build in every career mode are flat out disgusting in a good way. It’s hilarious that I knew I would steal the entire Leverkusen team to use as my foundation. Does it get any more hilarious than that?

Are we sure that a tag team duo of Ted Lasso and myself couldn’t build a powerhouse somewhere?

Side note: That AFC Richmond series is by far the most fun I’ve ever had playing FIFA and it’s a damn shame they took that game mode out of the game.
