Detroit Lions 2022 NFL Mock Draft Simulator
Vendetta Sports Media is back with another NFL Mock Draft video, this time covering the Detroit Lions. There are a lot of different directions the Lions can go this off-season in terms of free agency and the draft in particular, and in this video, we explore some of those options. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty proud of this mock. This draft class is the perfect blend of getting key players in the building now who can compete and start, while also building for the future and potentially making a run at Bryce Young next season. Let’s take a look at my Detroit Lions Mock Draft.
Looking at this roster, I had a few takeaways. For starters, this offense has some underrated pieces on it. Tight End TJ Hockenson was viewed as a lock to finish in the top-five in fantasy this year and almost hit that mark had it not been for injuries late. Running Back D’Andre Swift, when healthy, is as dynamic a back as there is in the league. Receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown emerged as a future WR1 down the stretch of the season. Lastly, the offensive line is quietly one of the better lines in football, anchored by C Frank Ragnow and last year’s first-round pick Penei Sewell at T. The offense is heading in the right direction. However…
This defense needs help. A lot of it. I would give you $5 to name 5 starters on this defense. I’ll change it. Three of them. That’s what I thought. This team needs help getting after the Quarterback in a major way. They could also use help along the line and in the secondary. Linebackers too. Did I just list almost everything on the defense? You get my point. That was my strategy going into this Detroit Lions Mock Draft was to help bolster this defense, but as you watch the video I do take a slight deviation from my plan.
