DeMarcus Cousins says he’s the third best center in the NBA right now
DeMarcus Cousins’ confidence hasn’t shifted one bit, as the big man thinks that right now he is the third-best center in the NBA.
Cousins recently went onto Kevin Garnett‘s podcast “KG Certified” to discuss how his NBA journey has progressed, digressed, and where he stands next to the current NBA competition. Safe to say, Cousins’ confidence has jaw’s dropping and NBA analysts grinning to the teeth.
“As of right now, I’m the third-best center in the NBA,” said Cousins, via Nico Martinez.
A lot of talk for someone whose last productive season was in 2017. As seen with other professional athletes who have been shoved out of the league like Cam Newton in the NFL, they never lose confidence because when you do, you’re truly finished.
Cousins most recently for the Denver Nuggets last season, playing 31 games with only two starts. Cousins averaged 8.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 14 minutes per game, shooting 45.6 percent from the floor.
As said before, Cousins lacks no confidence in his game and how he should still be in the NBA. But he thinks that teams truly don’t give him any good reason why he’s not on their roster.
“That’s honestly my biggest issue,” said Cousins. “You never really get an honest answer… I look at myself first, and what I can do to better myself. I’ve asked many questions, I’ve reached out to former teams…I can never really get the raw honest truth. I would love to get a real answer.” Via Nico Martinez.
Be on the lookout for a team to sign Cousins come postseason time because Cousins might still have something in the tank left to offer.
