Damon Arnette Released After Flaunting Guns In Video
Nothing is a surprise anymore when it comes to the Raiders and the 2021 season. Damon Arnette is the latest former first-round pick that has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Arnette was showing off his gun collection on video while threatening to kill someone in the process. This is just seven days after the Henry Ruggs III incident. Where Ruggs was released for drunk driving and killing someone in the process. Both Arnette and Ruggs were first-round picks in the 2020 draft. Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock prided themselves on selecting “high character guys” through their draft process. Guys who, “love football man” Jon Gruden voice. Luckily for Raiders fans, we do not have to worry about Gruden missing on the draft again. He was let go just three weeks ago. The Raiders season has been straight chaos. Make you wonder what is coming next?
Raiders Love Screwing Up The Draft
The Raiders under Jon Gruden have missed on every first-round pick since he came in 2018. With the exception of left tackle Kolton Miller in 2018. During the 2018 season, Gruden decided to trade away stars Kahlil Mack and Amari Cooper to get draft capital to draft his guys. Welp his guys have not worked out with the 5 first-round picks from 2019 to 2020. Let’s start in 2019. The 4th overall pick, Clelin Ferrell, fart noise. What a scrub this guy is!!! Guys on the board still who I was dying for the Raiders to draft. Defensive end Josh Allen and Devin White. When the defense has been such a weak spot for the Raiders. Two players who will be a lock for the Pro Bowl years to come. Next at 24, Josh Jacobs out of Alabama. He is not a miss, a good player, just not one of the more dynamic running backs in the league. Not a game changer. At 27, John Abram has shown some improvement in the secondary but is still a liability out there. He plays more in the box.
The Raiders did hit later in the draft with passer rusher Mad Maxx Crosby and Travon Mullen. Crosby is one of the best young pass rushers in the league who will be a Raider for a long time. Travon Mullen is a second-round pick out of Clemson. He looks to be a solid corner for the Raiders for years to come.
2020 Draft Where The Fun Really Begins For The Raiders
Oh, where to begin, where to begin with these two knuckleheads??? Henry Ruggs III, who was selected with the 12th pick in the draft. Being the first receiver off the board before CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson. This one hurts a lot as I was campaigning for CeeDee Lamb when I first saw him play at Oklahoma. The Raiders made the “Al Davis” pick selecting the speedster from Alabama. Ruggs never knew how to slow down in any aspect of his life if that is running, drinking, or driving. IDIOT! What a selfish act on his part taking an innocent life. One bad decision completely flipped his life, what a shame. It is truly sad. Damon Arnette, the 19th pick in the draft. What a brain surgeon that guy is. I never wanted I’m when he was selected… I didn’t even know who he was! Arnette was a total surprise at 19 as he was projected to be a third-round pick. What corners were still on the board you ask? How about TREVON DIGGS and Jaylon Johnson. I know I’m not the only Raider fan rubbing my eyes right now with a pounding headache. What a shit show.

The Raiders are the best source of pleasure you can get while visiting Las Vegas. They have something for everyone drama, action, and a comedy show all in one. No seriously, the Raiders need their own television network. How about “Keeping Up With The Raiders” has a nice ring to it. There is never a dull moment with this team since Jon Gruden arrived. We have had bad haircuts, poor drafting, and horrible decision-making. Stars include Jon Gruden, Antonio Brown, Henry Ruggs III, and Damon Arnette. They all carpooled in the same clown car.
