Damian Lillard Doesn’t Understand Criticism Against Russell Westbrook

Prior to today, I was starting to become annoyed with Damian Lillard. The guy hasn’t won anything and acts all high and mighty. His comments about the Warriors were laughable. Dude… you’ve won nothing and spent your entire career rotting away in Portland. Just because you’re miserable doesn’t mean everyone else has to be.

Can you imagine being a player and speaking out against having the freedom to change teams? It’s brain dead to speak out against player mobility. Nobody should ever do it and I can’t stress enough how idiotic it is to shame these guys for having the freedom to control their destiny.

Lillard somehow got dumber overnight. Russell Westbrook is the biggest cancer in NBA history and if you can’t understand that by now, you don’t know basketball. End of story. Nothing else to discuss. Lillard is now going out of his way to defend Westbrook.

“The fact that people talk on his name and how they be just making him an easy target and a subject and everything like that, that shit is just crazy to me,” Lillard said. “But it also shows you how this game is and how people are and why you can’t really put no stock into none of this shit. When you good with ’em, you good with ’em. When you bad with ’em, everybody be just throwing darts.”

Is this guy serious? How uneducated do you have to be to not understand why Westbrook gets criticized? I’m not saying you have to Westbrook like I do but to not understand why Westbrook gets criticized is insane. This isn’t hard dude. Westbrook has a career 3-point shooting percentage of 30.5% and jacks up 3.7 of them per game. He can’t shoot and has zero shot self-awareness. How does Lillard not get that?

Maybe you don’t know basketball, Lillard. Maybe you should look in the mirror buddy. Just because you’re a part of a team that sucks doesn’t mean that everyone else has to be miserable. I’m starting to think Lillard’s so miserable that he’s losing his mind. The only takeaway to Lillard’s comments is that he’s brain dead. It’s the only explanation.
