Dwayne Haskins passed away roughly 16 months ago, but that didn’t stop Colin Cowherd from taking a ricochet shot at him. It wouldn’t be the first time a mainstream media member did the same, but we’ll get there eventually.
Cowherd was doing a segment on quarterbacks. During the segment, he listed players that were incapable of leading their team to a Super Bowl. Haskins made the list despite the fact that he died in that tragic accident.
If you want the full clip, I’ll attach that below as well for further context.
I’m not really sure what happened here but it’s obviously inexcusable. I guess Cowherd is technically correct in his assessment. Haskins cannot win a Super Bowl because he died. It also goes without saying that it’s incredibly ignorant to even go here.
I’m not sure why mainstream media guys feel the need to disrespect Haskins, but it’s out of control. Stephen A Smith did it, once upon a time. Ditto for Adam Schefter. The former Ohio State quarterback deserves way better than this. It’s just disgusting behavior.
We already know how this story will go. Fox won’t do anything about it and Cowherd will continue to spew nonsense like he does every day. If anything, ESPN just upped their offer to Cowherd by another $100 million. This story will vanish within two weeks despite how repulsive it is.
At what point does it become insane that this guy is still on the air? Decent business mind. Complete dead brain sports mind.
