Chris Paul really hates Daryl Morey. It’s hard not to. After months of Morey claiming that he wouldn’t trade CP3, he turned around and did it anyway. Not that it was too shocking based on the reports that Paul and James Harden hated each other. Maybe it was a mutual split. Either way, Chris Paul thinks Daryl Morey is a snake.
CP3 went on the Kevin Hart weird hot tub show. I’ve never seen it but I’m sure it’s not great. Anyway, here’s what Paul said:
“Do you feel like there’s been times where, “Damn, that’s a little eye-opening. I got stabbed in the back”?
“Absolutely. This last situation was one of them. The GM there in Houston, he don’t owe me nothing. You know what I mean? He may tell me one thing but do another thing. But you just understand that that’s what it is.”
If you don’t know the story, well, here you go.
A month later Morey traded Paul and a package of picks for Russell Westbrook. Paul is stuck on a losing OKC team and nobody wants his contract. I don’t know how a trade is even possible. It was the only way to trade Westbrook, to be honest. Paul is the only player who has a worse contract. I’m curious to see what happens because it’s almost impossible to figure out a CP3 trade.
Regardless, Morey was so eager to stab Paul in the back that he ended up making his team worse. Westbrook thus far has proven to be a bad fit on this Rockets team and goes against everything they believe in. Maybe the whole China – Morey controversy was karma for lying to Chris Paul.
