Chicago Bears 2019 NFL Draft War Room

2019 NFL Draft

The Chicago Bears are on the board here while we hit each team on the war room series. Well, maybe that wasn’t a great choice of words. The Bears have no picks. No good ones anyway. No first round pick or second round pick for the Bears. Ryan Pace has managed to put together a good roster so at least there’s that. With limited draft ammo, what can we expect from the Chicago Bears during the 2019 NFL Draft? Let’s head to the war room!

Third Round (Pick 88) – I think the Bears may want to think about going pass rusher here. I know, I know, they have Khalil Mack. But, don’t you think it would be smart to strengthen the position even further so you don’t have to play Mack a ton of snaps to kill him by the end of the season? Leonard Floyd is just okay. Let’s be honest about that one. A third weapon to go with this mix is dangerous. I love D’Andre Walker here if he’s on the board. Walker is a demon pass rusher who notched 7.5 sacks last year. He also ripped 4 forced fumbles and really attacks the ball. The Bears have a quarterback who sucks so any extra possessions they get, the better.

Other than that, maybe try to add another corner? Prince Amukamara can’t play forever. The Bears have an awesome defense. Just imagine if they had a quarterback who wasn’t a worse version of Blake Bortles. The offensive line could use some depth. How about a running back to pair with Tarik Cohen? Jordan Howard is a bad fit with Matt Nagy. They need another shifty pass catching running back.
