There are two players I will never draft in fantasy. Those two players are Le’Veon Bell and Odell Beckham Jr.. If I ever draft either, call 911 because I lost my mind. Once again, you made out if you sided with Trey. Bell is hurt, and Odell Beckham Jr. is disappointing, again.
Sure, it’s only Week 1, but at this point, it’s not a fluke. Beckham Jr. finished Week 1 with three receptions for 22 yards on 12 targets. It’s the same ole Browns. Players go there to die, Odell is no different.
Beckham Jr. doesn’t work in Cleveland. Most of it probably has to do with the fact that Baker Mayfield isn’t talented. Either way, Beckham Jr. has FAILED with the Browns.
Beckham Jr. has been with the Browns for 17 career games. Four of those games, he’s failed to record 30 yards in a game. HUH! Not lying; that’s 100% true.
Here’s another fact. Six of those 17 career games, Beckham Jr. has recorded three or fewer catches.
I don’t care what the reason is. Maybe the chemistry between Mayfield and Beckham Jr. doesn’t work. Often, it looks like Mayfield is forcing him the ball even when he’s not open.
Could it be an effort thing? Being in Cleveland can zap your spirits. Beckham Jr. could easily have checked out.
It’s time for the Browns to move on. Beckham Jr. is not working in Cleveland. The longer he stays with the Browns, the more his value diminishes. It’s time to trade Beckham Jr., There’s another scenario. What if Beckham Jr. isn’t that good? HMM.
