Brad Marchand Deletes Twitter, Will Return Under One Condition
Brad Marchand is the gift that keeps on giving. Unfortunately, you’re not going to find him on Twitter anymore. At least, temporarily anyway. The Bruins top line left winger has deleted Twitter but what prompted him to do so?
Blame Elon Musk! Marchand makes it very clear that he’s out on Twitter because he’s not paying for it. Twitter recently removed two-factor authentication via text message for users. That is unless you have a Twitter Blue subscription service. That, of course, $8 per month.
“It’s strictly because I’m not paying for Twitter,” he said, according to Boston.com’s Conor Ryan.
“They took my two-step verification, so I was like, you know what – I’m going to get out now while I can,” Marchand continued.
Marchand, 34, is that type of guy you either love or hate. Either way, he’s great for the game. The long time Bruin did make it clear that there is a chance that he will return to Twitter. It’s under emergency use only in case he really needs to make fun of someone. Respect!
“I’m sure I’ll be back on at some point – if I’m bored and want to make fun of someone,” he said.
The Bruins are in the midst of a historic run. It’s last dance vibes all over the locker room in Boston. The Bruins are a league best 55-11-5 on the season and have a chance to break the single season points record. It’s championship or bust for this Bruins team. If the duck boats come back to Boston, Marchand may make his return to Twitter to make fun of someone. I think we’re all waiting for that at this point.
