Serrano will compete in the PFL PPV Super Fight Division which hosts the company’s biggest names. The Super Fight Division is currently headlined by Jake Paul and Francis Ngannou. Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison and boxing world champion Claressa Shields will probably find their way into big PPV fights as well.
Serrano is signed to Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions. As a result, her business relationship with Paul made her a prime candidate to join the PFL. Paul has a lot invested in the PFL after he received company equity for signing with the promotion. All in all, there are a ton of business relationships between Paul, Serrano, Most Valuable Promotions and the PFL. It makes sense that Serrano would sign with the organization.
Serrano is a historic figure in female boxing. Boasting a 44-2-1 record, she has established herself as a generational talent while winning titles in seven weight classes. At the moment, Serrano sits at the undisputed women’s featherweight world champion.
Serrano has MMA experience under her belt as well. The boxer has competed in MMA three times and holds a record of 2-0-1. What is even more impressive is that both of her wins came by submission. Furthermore, she is 5-0 in No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu.
In the PFL, Serrano will compete in the women’s strawweight division which has a 125-pound limit — one pound lower than her boxing weight class of featherweight.
Serrano’s PFL debut is unknown at the moment, but it is expected to come in 2024.
Serrano will looked to defend her featherweight titles against Heather Hardy in the co-main of the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz: Ready 4 War.
