Bournemouth Completes Deal For Tyler Adams

Tyler Adams is making his return to the Premier League. The American midfielder had a relegation clause in his contract and with Leeds getting dumped from the Premier League, Adams deserved a chance to stay up against better competition.

Jerry Walker can keep rooting for those losers but he should know that Leeds is screwed now that Russell Westbrook is involved.

Anyway, back to Adams, he’s back in the Premier League. AC Bournemouth will complete the transfer move by triggering his relegation clause.

Fabrizio Ramano was the first to report the news on the five year contract with Bournemouth:

The fee is expected to be roughly £20 million ($25.4 million). Chelsea also triggered the release clause but once they splurged on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, that ship sailed. Bournemouth happily stepped up to the plate after and landed him.

Don’t sleep on Bournemouth now. Adams might be the best player on the roster but it sure seems like they’re more committed to winning now. Bill Foley bought the club not too long ago. If you don’t know who that is, he owns the Vegas Golden Knights who just won the Stanley Cup. Strong ownership matters and it may be time to start taking Bournemouth more seriously.

Bournemouth checked in at 18 on our Premier League power rankings. Maybe this signing can prevent them from getting relegated, which is exactly what 18th place would do. Nobody said a word about them in the roundtable. At the very least, this deal brings some excitement to the club and a steady hand in the midfield. Adams was arguably the best player on the USNT during the most recent World Cup.
