FIFA 23 Team USA 2026 World Cup: Episode One
I’ll be honest; I have no idea what to title this series. This is technically part of the AFC Richmond series (link to the last episode). We’ve made it so far into the series that Ted Lasso is coaching Team USA in the 2026 World Cup in FIFA 23. I guess that’s what happens when you play so much FIFA that you turn AFC Richmond from a Championship team to a Champions League champion. Yes, that somehow makes sense but we worked magic in the AFC Richmond series and collected all of the possible trophies we could in the schedule.
Our team actually doesn’t look that bad. Weston McKennie, Gio Reyna, and Tyler Adams were part of the AFC Richmond team and will help represent the USA in the World Cup. The rest of the team actually isn’t bad. We still have Christian Pulisic, Serginio Dest, and a couple of other young players that have potential.
We’re in the group stage for episode one. Our group contains Spain, Qatar, and Finland. Can we advance? Do we have a chance to win the group? Do we have a chance to actually win the 2026 World Cup? It’s going to take a miracle but Ted Lasso has this group believing they have a shot to win it.
I hope people enjoy this series because this is the farewell tour for Ted Lasso. We just won the Champions League and we’re ready to retire off to the promise land and return home from England. This is our final mission in this FIFA 23 series and will do our best to make the best run in USA history at the World Cup.
