Batgirl Has Her Turn in Latest Gotham Knights Character Trailer
Gotham Knights has released another character trailer ahead of its Oct. 25, 2022 release date. Gotham Knights is based in a Gotham City where there is no Batman, no Commissioner Gordon, and no hope among the citizens. However, new heroes will take on the challenge of not only defeating new criminals that fill the streets but the same iconic villains that plagued Batman when he was alive.
This Gotham City will be extremely interactive as well as expansive in the combat-based role-playing game. Gotham Knights can be played as a single-player experience as well as a cooperative experience with a friend. Gamers will get to use Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood on their path to save the city.
Here is the new Batgirl character trailer that displays some different gameplay.
The Batgirl trailer shows her ripping through the streets of Gotham with a variety of elite fighting skills. She can be seen in multiple slick new outfits as she stealthily gets the drop on her enemies to thwart their plans. The trailer displayed some bigger bosses or villains that are not the game’s typical henchmen, and it showed a location that could possibly be Arkham Asylum.
On top of all of that, the character of Batgirl looks really well done. It appears that her gameplay will be the closest gameplay to a traditional Batman as she has a lot of the same gadgets. She has the Bat wings, similar Bat projectiles, and she is seen driving the awesome Batcycle. It seems like Batgirl will be one of the more versatile characters due to her incredible fighting skill and variety of gadgets.
Background Information on Batgirl
In Gotham Knights, Barbara Gordon, the daughter of the legendary Commissioner Gordon, takes on the mantle of Batgirl and, similar to her father, believes in protecting people and being a beacon of hope for the city. She has some of the strongest willpower and determination out of anybody as she survived a terrifying encounter that left her in a wheelchair. Furthermore, she preserved through rehab, while learning how to be an information and communications expert, until she became the highly skilled Batgirl we see now.
Batgirl’s elite and versatile fighting skills come from her mastery of kickboxing, capoeira, and jiu-jitsu. Knowledge of these three fighting styles as well as her high-level skill with her tonfa weapons make her an impressive adversary to the criminals of Gotham. She is a complete package that should be a lot of fun to play with in Gotham Knights. The game will arrive on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Pc in October.
