Call Her Daddy and Alex Cooper have officially left the Barstool Sports podcast network to go to Spotify, but is Ria the one who is going to fill the void?
Ria recently announced that she has broken up with her longtime boyfriend, Hank Lockwood, the producer of the hit podcast Pardon My Take. She said the reason for the end of their relationship was they were in different stages of their lives, but what does that really mean?
Maria Ciuffo has been an employee at Barstool Sports since she was 19 years old. She dropped out of college to be an intern so she never had a real college experience. The Long Island native went basically right from high school to a full-time job where she was in front of a camera and microphone at all times, so she never got to experience true college life.
Ria stated that she was too young to start looking for houses and to settle down, but Ria is in the prime of her life and in New York City. Sound familiar? That is basically how Call Her Daddy started. Alex Cooper and Sofia Franklin were young and single in the big city and just started to tell their stories into a microphone.
Ciuffo is already a star at Barstool, she and her co-host Fran recently celebrated their 300th episode of Chicks In the Office and she is also the co-host of Because We Got High with Kelly Keegs and Brianna Chickenfry. Ria is already very open and forthcoming with her audience and fans. If she talks about her dating and partying stories in NYC, that could drive her up the podcast rankings.
