2023 NFL Draft War Room: Pittsburgh Steelers
Kevin Colbert is gone so they might be less predictable than before. The old mantra used to be never trade! Maybe things will be different with Omar Khan. The Chase Claypool deal has to give you hope that better deals are ahead. Still, the Steelers find themselves in the middle and need to get back into real contention. Can Kenny Pickett help guide them there? Regardless, the 2023 NFL Draft is the first step towards trying to build that winner around him. Let’s go to the War Room to see what we can do!

The overall roster is really strong. There are two real areas of need, in my opinion. Have to get a linebacker and continue to beef up this offensive line. Pretty straight forward from a need perspective.
The Claypool pick gives the team so much more flexibility heading into the draft. Does Pittsburgh look to turn the card in or should they use that pick as a way to stock up for next year? The latter doesn’t feel like a terrible outcome depending on the names who are available. It’s a prime trade down spot.
There are two real players staring them in the face that they should know very well. Jordan Addison would be an ideal fit given the fact that Kenny Pickett threw him the ball at Pitt. There is also the Joey Porter Jr. thing. Is there a way to come away with both players? In an ideal world, yes!
