AEW Rampage Results And Key Moments (9/16/22)
AEW Rampage was very underwhelming. From the card to the matches, it left more to be desired. None of the matches had much of any build to them. Furthermore, the matches didn’t have anything on the line. It was a bunch of one-off matches to get us to AEW Grand Slam. AEW Rampage has felt miles behind Dynamite as of late. So AEW needs to step up the quality of Rampage if they want to continue to have success. In case you missed the show, here are the results and key moments.

Key Moments – AEW Rampage
Lights on, lights off
After Darby Allin picked up a win against Matt Hardy, a former foe appeared. The lights went out and when they turned back on, Brody King and Julia Hart stood in the ring. King delivered a devastating clothesline and challenged Darby Allin and Sting to match. He challenged them to a no disqualification match at Grand Slam next week. King went on to choke out Matt Hardy and the lights turned off. When the lights came back on, King and Hart were gone.
New Challenger for the ROH World Title
ROH world champion Claudio Castagnoli appeared on Rampage to cut a promo. He talked about how members of Blackpool Combat Club, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson are facing off to crown the new AEW world champion. In doing so, Chris Jericho announced that he wanted a shot at the ROH world championship. The ROH world championship is one of the few world titles Jericho has never held in his illustrious career. Jericho challenged Castagnoli to a match at Grand Slam next Wednesday.
