Jameson Williams Will Be A Dangerous NFL Rookie Fantasy WR In 2022

Jameson Williams might not be the best rookie WR in this class, or then again, he might be. Who knows? This WR draft class in 2022 was strong and scary. While I did formally announce that I think Garrett Wilson will be the top fantasy rookie WR in this class, I did give Jameson Williams an honorable mention. I think between these two, they will be the top fantasy rookie WRs in this class given their talent (of course) and the situation around them.

The major reason why I said Garrett Wilson might be better than Williams fantasy-wise is that it is less congested for Wilson than it is for Jameson Williams. The Lions have DJ Chark Jr, D’Andre Swift, and TJ Hockenson. Now I know that I have criticized TJ Hockenson in the past. But, that’s mostly because I think people are too high on TJ Hockenson. He’s not bad in the slightest. DJ Chark was a sneaky good addition for the Lions. With D’Andre Swift, he can run the ball effectively and catch the ball out of the backfield as well. This all ties into how much Jameson Williams gets the ball. Unfortunately, Jared Goff is still throwing him the ball so how confident can we be? He sucks.

Jameson Williams can still succeed however, the Lions are not good. They will have to pass a ton to try to stay in games. DJ Chark, TJ Hockenson, and Swift all have reputations for being solid in this league and defenses will try to stop them, this could open the door for the Williams as there are literally no other Lions WRs worth mentioning. This could still be a great year for Williams for sure.

Jameson Williams is another safe bet as far as rookie WRs go for fantasy. He could be a top 2 rookie Fantasy WR. He shouldn’t go farther than the top 5 for rookie WRs barring injuries. Williams will do better once he is settled in the league and gets a better QB (maybe next year?) but for this year if you’re fantasy league is drafting rookies only or in general, Williams won’t do you wrong in the later rounds.
