Best Young Players To Acquire In FIFA 22 Career Mode

Not going to lie, I have to itch to get back into FIFA. Now that I have a PS5, I have started an NHL series with the Knights, but I’m thinking about restarting my career mode with Arsenal. It’s been a while since I did that series. Anyway, this is the official guide for young players to target in FIFA 22 for your career mode.

Florian Wirtz (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)

Just like Kai Havertz a couple years ago, Bayer has another wunderkind you should look into for FIFA. Wirtz doesn’t have a super high speed rating (68) but we can work at that. More importantly, he’s semi affordable and has a potential rating of 90. He’s someone that can turn into the mainstay as the central attacking midfielder. Also has four-star skill and weak foot.

Ryan Gravenberch (Ajax)

Gravenberch has been in the video game for a while but now he’s actually worth trying to go get. Four-star skills and weak foot. 78 current overall and Ajax is usually easier to acquire players from rather than the bigger clubs. Really well rounded player and comes with 6-foot-3 height. Big secret. Speed, size, and skills in that order is what you’re looking for.

Ansu Fati (Barcelona)

I was messing around the other day and was able to acquire Fati straight up for Willian on a player swap. Yeah, that’s something we’ll do. Fati already has elite speed. Get him in training and you’re going to create a monster on the wing. Probably the first player you should go and get right away.

Mason Greenwood (Manchester United)

Greenwood isn’t as fast as Fati but is already a more established goal scorer. More shot power and five star weak foot. He’s listed as a winger but Greenwood can become your primary striker if you’re feeling dangerous.

Youssoufa Moukoko (Borussia Dortmund)

Speaking of strikers, Moukoko is really THE one to go get. Yes, I’m aware he’s currently a 69 overall. However, Moukoko has a 89 potential rating and is only 16. By the time he’s 18, this dude is going to be a monster if you train him properly. Already comes with 86 speed too soooo, yeah.

Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund)

This one is more of a luxury pick. Good size and skill moves. The stamina and mid field stats are all there. Doesn’t have a ton of speed but grows into an 88 and plenty of room to improve.

Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid)

Much easier to acquire. Similar to Bellingham with the same potential but costs way less. Only problem is Real just acquired him so you will have to wait a bit.

Nuno Mendes (PSG)

Having those fast left and right back defenders changes everything in career mode. When you can chase those high end goal scorers down, that’s when you’re winning titles in career mode. Get you a Mendes. 19 years old, improves 10 overalls naturally, and has 90 speed built in. Go get him.

Noni Madueke (PSV)

I like guys who can line up at striker if they need to. Madueke is a right mid but can be a striker. The defense is painfully bad but he’s go great passing stats and has stupid speed and acceleration. Train him to put the ball in the net and he turns into a gem.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Okay, Saka is expensive compared to the rest of the list, but he’s worth it. So versatile. Can lineup wherever. Such a well rounded skill set. Speed already there. Just a guy that’s part of an eventual winner.

Edmond Tapsoba (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)

The biggest mistake you can make with your center backs is having them be too short. You want twin towers back there. Tapsoba is 6-foot-4 with 75 built in speed. I don’t need anything else. He will do.

Rodrygo (Real Madrid)

Last career mode I turned Vinicius Jr into a star. I’d like to do the same thing again but he’s way more expensive than Rodrygo. Now Rodrygo might not be as good but he’s someone you can turn into a monster. Don’t you trust the young gems Real has stashed? I do.
