On The Field
The Oregon Ducks were ranked #3 in the AP Poll this week after their commanding win over Stony Brook. Oregon earned a huge win two weeks ago when they traveled to Columbus and beat Ohio State. They won that game without two of their top defensive players: Kayvon Thibodeaux and Justin Flowe. The Ducks also picked up a victory over Fresno State in week one, while they looked sloppy, Oregon should get more credit for that game as Fresno just upset #13 UCLA.
With a weak Pac 12, Oregon’s remaining games only have one ranked opponent: #24 UCLA. The Ducks should run the table once Thibodeaux and Flowe return and could find themselves in the CFP if they were to have an undefeated season.
In The Market
The SimDucks have a share price of $53.80 making them the most expensive team in the Pac-12. USC has the second-highest price in conference sitting at $49.29. Mario Cristobal has turned the Ducks into a western power as they have won the Pac-12 Championship back-to-back years. I think Oregon has a chance to get into the CFP if they run the table. If they beat UCLA in October, they would have three wins over top-25 teams including Ohio State.
While Oregon’s share price is on the more expensive side, there is real potential for it to rise if the Ducks finish the season strong and make a postseason run.
