Raheem Mostert Proved He Can Never Be Trusted In Fantasy

Your worst nightmares became true. Well, in this instance, it was a pretty predictable nightmare. The obvious became true and it only took about 2.5 seconds for it to come to fruition. Raheem Mostert can no longer be trusted in fantasy and is now out for the season after just four snaps on the season.

Mostert, 29, was on my Don’t Eat The Cheese list prior to the season. Who the hell could trust this guy after last season? Injuries have been a big problem for Mostert and we’re also talking about a back that’s never had more than 137 carries in any given season. Mostert is no spring chicken. His days of dominating in fantasy are donezo.

Mostert isn’t the biggest guy in the world, is aging rapidly, and Shanahan prefers the RB by committee approach anyway. There’s no point in ever valuing Mostert in fantasy ever again. His trust with fantasy owners has been burned to the ground.

Whether it be Elijah Mitchell, Trey Sermon, or whoever, Kyle Shanahan won’t have any issues running the football. He never has. My only question is why did anyone value Mostert before the season, to begin with? In my league, the former Purdue went for $20 in the auction. Way too much risk and a far too risky price for this kind of player. It predictably backfired. Why was he valued this high?

Once upon a time, I thought Raheem Mostert was on a star trajectory. Injuries have crippled his career which is such a shame for a player that oddly have talent despite never being drafted.
