Jamison Crowder has been underrated his entire career. Averaging four TDs a year for the past five years, it looks like he will at least tie that average and will have a career-high in yards. With quarterback Sam Darnold back at full strength, Crowder will succeed and get back to his 100 plus yards a game he had in the first three games of the year.
Worst Team Ever?
Playing on a team that’s always behind helps Crowder because the New York Jets need to pass. With the Jets constantly losing this year, it allows Crowder to run deeper routes this season. In getting the ball more through the air, Crowder can put up more numbers. Yet he’s on a losing team he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
Stats
In his three best games, Crowder’s numbers are eye-opening. He had seven catches for 115 yards and a touchdown against a strong Buffalo defense. For his week four-game, Crowder had seven catches for 104 yards showing that he is capable with the ball in his hands, especially as Sam Darnold’s number one guy. In his week five game against the Arizona Cardinals, he had eight catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. His best game of the season, no doubt. I see no reason for Crowder to put more of these stat lines proving that Jamison Crowder is underrated.
Jamison Crowder is underrated as he puts up good stats when he needs to, even against formidable defenses. With him and Darnold being the two lone bright spots on this terrible Jets offense, he has increased his value as a player. Without Crowder, you can take away a lot of the Jets offense. Overall, Crowder needs a lot more respect from the football community and not just those that have him in fantasy.
