Bucky Irving is a stud and finished the 2023-24 NFL Season as the number one scoring rookie running back in all of fantasy football. Trey saw it coming. The rest of the cruddy industry did not. A lot of people owe the Bucs running back an apology, and the losers over at Dynasty Nerds should step up to the plate and take some accountability for their actions.
A lot of people were wrong about Bucky, but I’d argue these clowns were by far the most ignorant about it during the pre-draft process. One of the things you, the viewer, should do is go back and truly evaluate the evaluator to know who you should trust during draft season. It’s pretty obvious Garret with one T and the rest of this crew of uneducated tools shouldn’t ever be trusted.
Let’s be real about it. If you’re using BMI as a reason why a guy will fail, you probably struggle to cross the street. There’s so much bad information out there, but using BMI might take the cake in terms of the re re things you will hear out there. It’s so dumb that I don’t even have words to describe how dumb it is other than making you question if they snort meth during their lunch breaks.
If you’re rating Bucky Irving a 68 on your made-up criteria of nothing, maybe your criteria stinks. Which again, was pretty obvious when you’re using BMI as part of said criteria. If Bucky Irving was your RB12 in a class that stunk and had next to no real contributors… insert whatever insult you want to use. It’s so bad words can’t properly describe it.
One of these jerkoffs actually said, “Is he better than DeeJay Dallas?” and it was viewed as a real question.
I thought nerds were supposed to be smart? The YouTube comments wrap this up pretty well.
Look, we’re all going to make mistakes. Nobody is going to be perfect in this process, although you’re going to have a hard time finding where I missed last year. Mostly because Trey has a real criteria that has proven to work year after year. The evidence speaks for itself after I ranked Irving as the RB1 last year, when nobody else had the stones to do so.
The truth is, most people who cover this stuff don’t actually understand anything about leadership, culture, or team building and often take the path of least resistance. Just watch the video at the top and it’s pretty obvious they’re uneducated on how to actually scout. I think the worst part is they laughed about it like the ignorant trash they are acting like they had all the answers.
Smart people learn from their mistakes. The smartest people learn from other people’s mistakes. Admitting when you’re wrong is what gives you credibility. Apparently, I’m the only person in the draft community willing to do so (it just doesn’t happen often because I’m better at this than everyone else). It would be one thing if they were just ignorant about Bucky pre-draft. Instead, they took zero accountability and actually patted themselves on the back like they were accurate on the former Oregon running back the whole time.
That’s scumbag material right there. It’s one thing to be wrong. To just act like nothing ever happened and then credit yourself for being falsely right? That’s borderline insane, and I’d argue there are people in jail who are less heinous than these idiots.
Here’s the worst part. They expect you to buy their film package that hasn’t been properly evaluated because they’re “nerds” and have all the answers. Explain to me why any person would hand them a singular dollar. It’s one thing to be a bad scout. It’s another to lack accountability and fail to answer for the egregious errors along the way.
Garret with one T and the rest of the scumbag nerd crew should step up to the plate and answer for their sins. Except I’m sure they won’t because that’s how this industry operates. Nobody is ever accountable for their actions, and they expect you to forget all about the illiterate things they said the year before.
Look, maybe I’m being harsh. We are more than our thoughts and I’m seeing it wrong. If the Dynasty loser boys want to step and apologize, I’ll gladly hear them out. Personally, I just think it’s insane to have the audacity to charge people for film when the crew responsible for evaluating the film isn’t educated on how to do so. You can’t hide the evidence here, and the lack of accountability or self-awareness to apologize for any of this is disgusting. I don’t know how anyone with self-pride views it any differently.
Hey, maybe they can interview the frosted tips fruit cake from NBC Sports who threw a victory lap on Carson Beck before he ever took an NFL snap again. Maybe that will educate them on how to be smarter scouts!
