Kendall Milton 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Georgia is just a machine. They’re not just sending one running back to the NFL. We already covered Daijun Edwards. Now it’s time to talk about Kendall Milton. What should we expect from Milton at the NFL level? Let’s get right to it.

Milton, 6-foot-1, 225, ran a 4.62 at the 40. That right there is going to be his biggest question. Milton was a four star recruit coming out of the state of California. He’s just not a burner in any sense of the word. If you’re looking for a guy to hit those long scorching runs with speed, look elsewhere. I just think people have taken it a little too far and are now overlooking Milton.

Often times the former Georgia running back struggled with hamstring injuries. A bunch of soft tissue injuries prevented him from accomplishing what he could have in the box score department. His final season at Georgia was his best and most healthy season. The Fresno native touted the rock 121 times and put up 790 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. It was a 6.5 YPC average last year and a 7.0 mark the year prior. Man’s was hot down the stretch and finally looked healthy.

He’s not Kenny McIntosh in the receiving game department but he can get the job done. Not A+ hands but he can do the easy stuff. Little unproven in that area but I think he can get by no problem. Just more in the James Conner type mold. Not sure he’s as tough but thick body that can win inside the tackles. Very much a downhill runner that’s going to take more than one arm tackle to bring him down.

Hit 18 reps on the bench press. This is a real running back. I don’t think I can stress that enough. Talented and a better football player than just pure athlete. Excellent blocker and didn’t fumble during his final season at Georgia. Had three fumbles the other three years combined.

I’m a Milton fan. I have him rated a notch lower than his teammate Edwards but that’s only because he’s less creative in terms of grinding out those weird yards out of nowhere. I’d be willing to take Milton in the 6th round and think he can be a factor in a tandem. You need guys to grind out those dirty yards and Milton should excel at that. If he was more healthy and had a bigger workload at Georgia, he’d be viewed of far more fondly by NFL circles. I just hope you’re smart enough to recognize that.
